CAN $3,999 per person (double room, tax included). Fees include round-trip Toronto & Israel airfare, hotel accommodation, breakfast and dinner, four lunches (arrival day, Galilee, Jordan and Petra); entrance fees to all attractions (NOT include all tips and medical insurance).

Day 1: November 7th, Saturday
We will meet at the airport in the afternoon and take Air Canada flight to Israel.

 

Day 2: November 8th, Sunday
Arrive in Tel Aviv, meet your guide and bus driver, and drive to Casarea Maritima, here the Apostle Peter Baptised the first recorded gentile. Continue to Joppa where Peter came to from Lydda to raise Tabitha (Dorcas) from the dead. While in Joppa, the apostle stayed at the house of Simon the Tanner. When Peter was praying on the roof, he had a vision of a large sheet filled with animals being lowered from heaven, signaling to him to go with the messengers from Cornelius.
Dinner & overnight in Tel Aviv.

 

Day 3: November 9th, Monday
After breakfast, we travel to the ruins of Megiddo, the Biblical Armageddon, where we see Ahab’s stables and the famous water system. Here archaeologists have unearthed over 20 levels of civilizations. Continue to Nazareth, the boyhood home of Jesus.
visit The Basilica of the Annunciation and then continue to Cana , the site of the Jesus first miracle. Continue to the Mount of Beatitudes, at Capernaum visit the ruins of ancient Capernaum where the greater part of Jesus’ ministry of teaching and healing took place. Today you will enjoy a special St. Peters Fish lunch at a lakeside restaurant. Then we continue to Tabgha, the traditional site of the multiplication of loaves and fishes. End your day at the recently-opened Magdala Center, constructed near the site of ancient Magdala, home of Mary Magdalene. We return to Tiberias for dinner and overnight.

 

Day 4, November 10th, Tuesday
Travel north to Casarea Phillipi on the foothills of Mount Hermon and Banias, the site of Peters Confession. Continue to Biblical Laish, also known as the ancient town of Dan. Visit the nature reserve which is one of the main feeders of the Jordan River. Drive to the Golan Heights and the Bental mountain, from here you will be able to see the road to Damascus. Visit an oil press on the Golan and taste the newly pressed oil. End your day with a memorable boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. From here, we return to Tiberias for dinner and overnight.

 

Day 5,  November 11th, Wednesday
We begin our day at a baptismal site on the River Jordan. Continue to the historical Be’t Shean, the biblical town mentioned in the Book of Kings. Cross over into Jordan at the Sheik Hussein border crossing, you will be crossing over the Jordan River. Meet your Jordanian transport and guide and continue to Madaba. View the Byzantine mosaics at this historical site. Continue to Mt. Nebo, here Moses stood and saw the Promised Land to which he was not allowed to enter.
Drive South to Petra, enjoy dinner and overnight at Petra.

 

Day 6, November 12th, Thursday
Morning tour of Petra- The spectacular Rose Red capital of the Nabateans and recently chosen as one of the 7 wonders of the world. Tour Petra with your guide. Continue to Wadi Rum for a tour of the desert.
Drive to Aquaba for your dinner and overnight.

 

Day 7, November 13th, Friday
After breakfast cross the border into Israel at the Arava border crossing, drive thru the Arava valley to Masada, (now a UNESCO World Heritage site) ascend by cable car to visit the magnificent ruins of the fortress where Jewish defenders made the last stand of the Judean revolt against the Romans. Next visit Kumaran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. Time permitting enjoy a float in the Dead Sea.
Drive to your Jerusalem hotel for overnight and dinner.

 

Day 8, November 14th, Saturday
Early start for Bethlehem visit the Church of the Nativity, built over the traditional site of the birth of Christ. We then visit Mount Zion and the traditional Room of the Last Supper. Later visit the beautiful village of Ein Kerem the birth place of John the Baptist. Drive via the beautiful Menorah at the Knesset- The Israeli Parliament building. Dinner at your Jerusalem hotel

 

Day 9, November 15th, Sunday
After breakfast drive to Yad Vashem, the Holocaust memorial museum. Continue to the Israel museum, visit the Dead Sea Scrolls at the Shrine of the Book building and then the Model of Jerusalem during the Second Temple Period. Continue to the City of David and Hezekiahs tunnel and the Pool of Siloam. View the Southern Wall excavations and the Steps that led to the Temple. Continue to Caiphas House on Mount Zion. We end our day at Gordon’s Calvary and the Garden Tomb where in an inspiring service we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord. Dinner and overnight at your Jerusalem hotel.

 

Day 10, November 16th, Monday
Drive to the Mount of Olives. Walk down Palm Sunday route towards the Kidron Valley and the Garden of Gethsemane. Enter the Old city at the Lions Gate. Visit St. Anne's Church and the Pools of Bethesda, then we follow the Via Dolorosa concluding at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Group farewell dinner in a local restaurant. Overnight Jerusalem

 

Day 11, November 17th, Tuesday
Transfer to the airport for your flight home.
