因为需要很大，他们就留在德国一直做华人福音事工。他们不但面对面传，并且想出一个好办法，1979年创办 “德国中文图书馆” ，为华人提供各类读物，特别关于基督教信仰的书籍。之后随着中国大陆开放，去德国留学的中国学生不断增加。他們在1985年成立 “德华福音友会”，现称 “德华福音会”，每年举行两次全國性聚会：德国华人基督徒门徒造就营和同工训练营。
从90年代至今，台湾、香港、加拿大、美国等地的华人教会都相继派短宣队和植堂牧师、传道人到德国和 “德华福音会”合作，开展福音工作。我在葛牧师身上再次看到神奇妙的恩典，祂可以藉着一个人的摆上祝福一大帮人，这对我以后更加敏感于圣灵的带领，踏踏实实服事祂！
这是我第一次去欧洲短宣。神开了我的眼界，也帮助我和那边的弟兄姊妹以及一些慕道朋友建立很好友情。这次短宣经历超出我所预期，神的恩典常常是这样。

There are many Chinese students living in Germany scattered all over, some are in major metropolitans and some are in small villages studying their respective disciplines. Bible study groups and fellowship groups are formed and some are developed into a small church.
Most don't have their own church building except for a few in big cities. Some students after graduated found jobs, married and settled in Germany. When they become Christians and have young kids that form the backbone of the Chinese churches in Germany. There are as many as eighty of such locations that need pastors or full time workers to lead and nourish their spiritual needs. They also need Christian counsellors for many facing problems such as relationship, raising family and in general the emptiness of life without knowing Christ as their Saviour. They are also in need of children ministry guidance.
Chinese Library has served the Chinese communities in a very unique way. There are many Chinese women married to German, some are living in small villages, they usually are housewives staying at home while their husbands out working, because of the language barrier they are lonely with not many friends, so all those books in the Chinese Library may become their friends, they order the books and the Library sends the books to them by mail, they have a month to read the books, once they are done they send the books back to the Library by mail. Because most books are written by Christians, the contents are beneficial to their spiritual needs.
An added bonus in this trip was that we had a chance to witness God's faithfulness and provision with the brothers and sisters in Hamburg. We all attended their thanksgiving service for the inauguration of the new church. It was an uplifting experience to worshipGod on such a joyful occasion.
Overall our team is united from start to finish. Each of us was given specific roles and tasks to do and we all fulfilled them joyfully. As a whole team we all experienced a time of worship, fellowship, ministry and evangelism. Personally, I enjoyed the time and gained a lot while I had the opportunity to fellowship with Pastor Luke one on one. In light of all the things we gathered during this STM, we have to think long-term on how we can mobilize to give better support to mission work in years to come. It is the question I put forward for all to examine. Yes, I can honestly say that all we went and returned with joy because God was with us all along and blessed us physically and spiritually.
